My Journal

22/10/19- making room thing and making this journal

25/10/19- this week we worked on the room desgins, and ideas for our projects 25/11/19- java script ctas- I think that this was a very interesting way of learning about java script, I liked this website but I like dogs better than cats so the cats and the cat analogies were less fun to me, compared to if they were abut dogs.

4/2/19- I found my Journal!

3/7/19- This week I learned how to write functions!! I learned how to write functions, with a better understanding for what a function does. I leanered that function add3, add3 would be the name of the function. The () after the name of the function is where the argument would go. After much struggle with understanding what a argument does I now understand what it does. The argument gives whatever is in it a meaning. So to use Molly's example the word Hot can have different meanings depending on what context it is in. The next part of writing a function depends on what you want your function to do. If you want a reuturn value in the console you have to add that into your code. Then you can write your code, such as h+3. The h+3 is what you want the code to do. Then make this appear in the console you have to write console.log(h+3). The function has to have curly brackets around it as well for it to run.

3/12/19- This week I worked on makning a valentine for Ella! I started with a picture of candy hearts. When I was working on this I started with a div that was the picture of the candy hearts. Then we made variables that did different things. The first var we made was called puns. This was a list on puns that we put. Then we made a var called random. We used this to randomise the var puns. We wrote that this var was set equal to, Math.round(Math.random()*2). Math.round is what what rounds the number to 0-1. Then we used Math.random()*2) to randomise the number of the list of puns, so that it would be random as to which was picked. The *2 was letting it pick the number from 0-2.

4/8/20- For my past three weeks project I decided to illistrait the fact that I wasn't able to leave my house. I put a door ontop of a picture of the outside world so that you can see outside but when you click on the door you can't actually go outside, and then something pops up and says you actually can't leave because of Corona. I did this because this is how I have felt my past three weeks.

4/14/20- Today ella and I revamoed the shaking bubbles code. We changed the song to our favorite, Tequila. We then changed what the circles looked like. We made it so that the bubbls don't have an inside color and so that the rim of the circles change color. We also made it so that when you stop dragging the bubbles stay the same color. This was achieved by putting it in the mouse drag section so that the color would stop changing when you stop dragging the mouse.
